How to report allegedly infringing material on this site, and how we respond.

Last updated August 2026

Respect for copyright

Peters & Associates, Inc. respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of this website to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512.

Third-party listing content

Portions of this website display property listing data and photography supplied through the Canopy MLS Internet Data Exchange program. That content originates with the listing brokerage or its photographer, not with this firm. We publish it under the terms of our MLS participation agreement. If you own rights in listing media appearing here, a notice sent to us will be actioned on this site and, where appropriate, referred to the originating brokerage and to Canopy MLS.

Submitting a takedown notice

To be effective, a notice must be a written communication that includes substantially the following:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed, or of a person authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are covered by a single notice.
  • Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it — a full URL for each item is strongly preferred.
  • Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

Please note that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), a person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees.

Designated agent for notice

Send notices to the Broker-in-Charge, Peters & Associates, Inc., 4401 Barclay Downs Dr #132, Charlotte, NC 28209, or by email to npeters@yourleaderinluxury.com with “DMCA Notice” in the subject line. Telephone (704) 264-4572.

Our response

On receipt of a compliant notice we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the identified material and will make a reasonable effort to notify the party that supplied it. We terminate site access for repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

Counter-notification

If you believe material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the address above containing: your signature; identification of the removed material and the location where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; and your name, address, and telephone number, together with a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the complaining party or its agent.

If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the material in ten to fourteen business days unless the original complainant notifies us that it has filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.
