1. Information We Collect
We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it through our inquiry forms, valuation requests, or direct correspondence. This includes:
- Name, email address, and phone number
- The free-text message, search criteria, or property interest you describe
- Address details voluntarily provided when requesting a home valuation
- Optional preferences such as price range, neighborhood, or timing
We also collect standard technical data automatically: IP address, browser type, referring URL, and timestamps. This data is used for security, analytics, and site improvement and is not used to identify individual visitors.
2. How We Use Your Information
The information you provide is used solely to deliver the advisory service you have requested and to maintain a thoughtful, ongoing client relationship. Specific uses include:
- Responding personally to your inquiry
- Scheduling and preparing for a private consultation
- Searching every active Canopy MLS listing and tracking new listings, price changes, and coming-soon notices relevant to your search as they post
- Providing valuation work, market intelligence, or referrals you have requested
- Complying with legal and regulatory obligations
We do not use your information for automated marketing, behavioral advertising, or lead-generation syndication.
3. How We Store and Protect Your Information
All client data is stored on encrypted, access-controlled infrastructure hosted in the United States. We employ the following safeguards:
- TLS 1.2 or higher for all data in transit
- Encryption at rest using industry-standard algorithms
- Role-based access controls limiting access to named principals and one vetted operations associate
- Full audit logging of all access and modifications
- Regular security reviews and incident-response protocols reviewed annually by legal counsel
Information is retained only as long as needed to provide the advisory service you requested or to satisfy legal record-keeping requirements. When a retention period concludes, records are securely destroyed using cryptographic deletion.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, barter, or syndicate personal information to third-party lead networks, referral marketplaces, or advertising platforms. Information is shared only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: A small number of regulated providers (web hosting, transactional email, analytics) process data strictly on our instruction under written confidentiality obligations.
- Transaction professionals: When a transaction requires external coordination — title counsel, inspection professionals, lenders, or closing attorneys — each provider is vetted for confidentiality practices and, where appropriate, bound by separate non-disclosure obligations. Information is shared on a strict need-to-know basis.
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use a deliberately restrained set of measurement tools. Specifically, this site loads Google Analytics 4 (property G-8LVMBCWZM9) to measure page views, traffic sources, and inquiry conversions in aggregate. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies and is operated by Google LLC, which acts as a processor for this data. We have not enabled Google Signals or ads personalization on this property, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
We do not currently operate advertising or retargeting pixels on this site. If that changes, this section will be updated before any such tag is activated, and the tag will be gated behind the consent control described below.
Your control: non-essential analytics load only after you accept them in the cookie notice presented on your first visit. You may change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the site footer, or disable cookies through your browser settings. Declining analytics does not affect your ability to browse the site or submit an inquiry.
6. Your Rights and Choices
We honor CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, and UK GDPR rights regardless of where you reside. Your rights include:
- The right to access the personal information we hold about you
- The right to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- The right to request deletion of your personal information
- The right to receive a portable copy of your data
- The right to restrict or object to certain processing
- The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
To exercise any of these rights, email npeters@yourleaderinluxury.com or call the office at 704-264-4572. Deletion requests are honored promptly — typically within five business days — except where a record must be retained to comply with real estate, tax, or legal obligations.
7. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for adults only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
